December 2020
A WORD FROM OUR PASTOR
As we approach the Christmas/New Year’s season, we often look back on the past year. Although many will look back at 2020 as a year of hardship and uncertainty, we as children of God can look back on the mighty hand of God’s provision. Many of the Calvary family have advanced in occupation as well as education. We have many new people that have made Calvary their home in 2020. We have watched the building of our new structure and the revamping of our existing building. We have witnessed miracles of healing, provision, and guidance within the collective of Calvary Church.
Psalm 23:5-6 tells us…
You prepare a feast for me in the presence of my enemies. You honor me by anointing my head with oil. My cup overflows with blessings.
Surely your goodness and unfailing love will pursue me all the days of my life, and I will live in the house of the Lord forever.
This year in 2020, we can say that truly we have watched God fulfill this scripture. We have been amazed by His power and might.
This year many around the world are facing a Christmas they know will be different than ever before. As saints of God, we can face that same Christmas with our eyes turned to the face of a God who is the same yesterday, today, and forever.
As we move forward into a new year we do not know what the future will hold. However, we can say with great confidence that no matter what comes our way, God has us covered.
I encourage each of you to look to the future with anticipation. 2021 will be the year that we move into our new building and see new and exciting things take place! Keep focused and close to God as He directs us.
Lots of Love and Merry Christmas.
